School closure

To comply with the Government’s decision that all schools in England should close this week, Worth School will close at 5.30pm on Friday, March 20.

Although there will be no teaching for the time being on the Worth School site after this Friday, all lessons will be taught remotely as per the normal timetable from Monday, March 23 until the end of term, Friday, March 27, in order to provide reasonable continuity of education.

The School will remain open for distance learning until the end of term. All pupils are expected to attend as if they were on site and to engage with their teachers via online platforms that we have been using increasingly over the course of the last week.

We will continue to plan for the School to open as soon as the Government’s advice allows us to, and to plan for the public examination schedule to run as and when we are advised further on that matter.

Parents whose urgent commitments as a key worker (as defined by the Secretary of State for Education) are dependent on the School being physically open until the end of next week should please email the Second Master, Mr Gushurst-Moore (agushurstmoore@worth.org.uk) urgently so that we can make suitable arrangements for these pupils to be looked after at Worth.
