Drama

Drama Drama is not just a curriculum subject, but a very popular experience open to all students through the production programme. It is not unusual for Worth to present seven productions a year, many in partnership with Burgess Hill School for Girls.

The excellent facilities in the Performing Arts Centre offer students the opportunity to explore, improvise and experiment. They learn a great deal about themselves and the importance of team-work and commitment. The range of plays offers a wide variety of cultural experiences for the players, supporting crew and audiences. Companies from Worth and Burgess Hill have regularly toured abroad.

In 2003/04, Worth premiered a musical written by two of our Old Boys.  In 2006/07 we staged two plays in the Autumn term, "A Small Family Business" by Years 10 and 11 and "A Christmas Carol" by Years 7, 8 and 9. The academic drama sets also staged their work and there were two productions for the Festival of Arts in March 2007 - "The Trial" and "Merry Wives of Windsor".
