Entrance CriteriaEach application is assessed individually and entrance will be dependent on a range of criteria including an interview with the Head Master, academic / test results and a reference from your current school.All applicants are expected to have a good grasp of the English Language. Overseas pupils may be required to undergo an IELTS examination, which can be arranged via a British Council office. Each year we accept a small number of pupils who need additional learning support. Entry for these pupils may be dependent upon an assessment by an external Educational Psychologist. Academic, music and all-rounder scholarships are available at 11+, 13+ and 16+.
The Admissions Process for entry to Worth at age 11+Entrance tests in English, Maths and Non-Verbal Reasoning are held in January. Students seeking Year 9 entry for September 2010 onwards are now being offered the opportunity to take the tests one year earlier, in January 2009. Common Entrance examination results will be used for setting purposes only.The Admissions Process for entry to Worth at age 16+Entrance into the Sixth Form will be dependent on the pupil's GCSE results or international equivalents, an interview with the Head Master and a satisfactory reference from their current school. The normal requirement for pupils entering the Sixth Form at Worth will be six GCSE passes at grades A to C, with at least three at grade B or above. |
