Academic Success

Students celebrate their results Many students from Worth School go straight to university. However, a significant proportion choose to take a gap year before continuing their studies. Students going on to higher education study a wide range of subjects, many within centres of excellence in prominent UK universities, including Oxford and Cambridge.

IB students this summer received an average score of 34.64 points, the highest average score at Worth for four years. For details, please see the 2008 results link below.

In 2007, Worth students achieved outstanding results in both A level and International Baccalaureate (IB) examinations.  Those sitting A levels achieved the school's best ever results.  Among Year 13 A level students, a third gained three or more A grades.  IB students enjoyed a 100% pass rate and received an average score of 33.2 points, compared to the average world-wide score of 29.9.  The vast majority of candidates achieved very good grades, permitting them to go on to their university of choice.
